Bollywood has seen a lot of pretty faces this year , probably has been the best year in terms of future female talent in a long time.

The contenders -

Deepika Padukone - Supermodel , earmarked for success and touted as the biggest thing in bollywood after aishwarya rai , debuts with a bang with the biggest superstar in the hindi film industry today.

Sonam Kapoor - With the kapoor tag this chick has half the battle won , acting is almost in her genes. Girl next door looks almost unconventionally beautiful debuts with one of the biggest directors in hindi industry with a film produced by no less than Sony.

Jiah Khan - Dream debut opposite none other than Amitabh Bachhan , this teenaged girl from UK has a mentor in one of the biggest names in the industry in Ram Gopal Verma.

Hansika Motwani - Debuts against arguably the biggest name in music today Himmesh Reshammiya. Barely in her teens hansika alreayd has a huge amount of acting experience as she was a child star.

And the Desiscans award for the hottest Bollywood Newcomer Female for 2007 goes to Hansika Motwani !!
And i already see a few eyebrows raised here , for the most popular choice would have been either Deepika Padukone or Sonam Kapoor. Deepika was amazing on the ramp , a supermodel in the true sense of the world , after Sheetal Mallar there isnt a real ’supermodel’ out there , deepika could just have been that ..but she plunged in Bollywood .. and well she looked plastic throughout the movie , the media has been going gaga over her & its not very difficult to know why as everyone really wanted to be in the good books of SRK , and to be frank deepika looked pretty unappealing in the movie , she looks bomb in photoshoots & on ramp but farha khan really messed it up there. About sonam , she looked amazing in saawariya which wasnt really as bad a movie as it was made it out out to be , sonam had ample opportunity to showcase her ‘acting talent’ and somewhere down the line i think she couldnt deliver as good as was expected of her , but she wasnt bad at all. Jiah Khan isnt even being talked about anywhere , she fit into the role well in nishabh and there isnt a lot one can criticize in what she did in the movie , plus i always had a thing for bad girls & jiah looks like a bad bad girl and points to her for that. Hansika on the other hand looked like a real pro , and credit where its due ..the chick had to romance himmesh on the screen & make it look convincing which she did. She looked a million bucks as well in the process.

But ofcourse this will not happen in the awards shows where it is almost certain that half of them will go for sonam kapoor while the other half for deepika padukone , filmfare is sure to pass it on to deepika padukone as she is a product of a SRK movie.
