Remembering the legendary Bollywood singer Mohd Rafi on his 29th Death Anniversary

Today is the 29th Death anniversary of the greatest ever playback singer of India. The versatile genius Padmashri Mohammed Rafi is the singer who dominated Bollywood singing industry for around 3 decades. His officially first  recorded Bollywood song was from A. R. Kardar’s Pehle Aap in 1944, he got a major break through from `Baiju Bawra’ composed by Naushaad and since then never he turned back. He ruled and dominated Bollywood singing till in1980 and have won Filmfare award for 6 times. Even after 29 years of his death, he remains immortal through his songs. Rafi sahab’s golden voice was definitely a gift of god to the human race.

Akshay Kumar price gone down after Kambakht Ishq.

Akshay Kumar reduced his price from 30 to 20 crore due to recession and also the failure of Kambakht Ishq. Kambakht Ishq should also be added to the list of his flop movies. Its difficult to understand what made Akshay to act in this movie with such a cheap dialouges, weak script and obsolete Anu Malik music.This movie is a major disoppointment to him and his fans. He didn’t see any major hit movie after Bhool Bhulaiyya. His recent movies like Tashan, Chandni Chowk to China and 8 x 10 Tasveer are amongst the top flop movies of this year. So it seems he came up with the right decision to lower his price this time. He has high hopes with his next upcoming movie Blue which is said be 100 crore budgeted with Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan written by American writers Joshua Lurie and Bryan M. Sullivan. Oscar award winner A. R. Rahman is composing the music for the film and Kylie Minogue will sing two songs with Sonu Nigam for this movie. The next hope is De Dana Dan with Hera Pheri team which is all set to release by November this year..

Shahid Kapoor to be honoured with Rajiv Gandhi Award

Shahid Kapoor, the guy who worked as a background dancer in taal and made his debut in Bollywood movies with Ishq Vishk is now to receive Rajiv Gandhi Award in best actor category. It seems he is the youngest among others who already conferred with this honour like Amitabh Bachchan,  Sachin Tendulkar, Mukesh Ambani, Sunita Williams. Shahid has some great movies lined up for release this year like Satish Kaushik’s Milenge Milenge with Kareena Kapoor, Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminey opposite Priyanka Chopra, Aditya Chopra’s Dil Bole Hadippa opposite Rani Mukherjee and Ken Ghosh movie opposite Genelia D’Souza.
